Just days before opening season, Paddle Pub Lower Hudson Valley reached out to us in need of an urgent rescue. Their outdoor boat tour bar tops had taken a beating over time — worn down, sealed over, and nowhere near the condition they needed to be in for a full season of service. They had a week. We had a plan.

We brought the bar tops into our shop and started from scratch. Every surface was fully sanded down, stripping away all remaining sealer and buildup until we were down to clean, bare wood. No shortcuts — a proper foundation was the only way to guarantee a finish that would last.

With a fresh canvas ready, Paddle Pub gave us full creative freedom with one requirement — incorporate their brand colors: turquoise, pink, and white. We took that and ran with it. Drawing inspiration from the water their guests cruise every season, we designed a flowing wave pattern, strategically layering each pigment into the epoxy and allowing the resin to naturally move and blend. A specially applied chemical reaction agent was then introduced to dramatically enhance the 3D depth effect, pulling the layers apart and exposing stunning dimension that makes each bar top look like a window into the water below.

Because these tops live outdoors on a working vessel and face relentless sun, humidity, and daily commercial use, we used a UV stable epoxy specifically formulated for outdoor environments — built to resist fading, yellowing, and breakdown under heavy abuse season after season.
