Custom Metallic Epoxy “Lava Floor” — Pennsylvania

We recently completed a one-of-a-kind metallic epoxy project in Pennsylvania, transforming a standard two-car garage into a bold, fiery statement piece. The client wanted something truly unique — a floor no one else had ever seen. When we asked what colors they preferred, they told us, “I love fire colors… whatever you think, do it.” So we designed a fully custom metallic system using deep black and vibrant orange to mimic the look of flowing lava.

To achieve a sleek, glass-like finish, we recommended filling all joints so the floor would look seamless and more unified. Once the plan was approved, we began by removing the previous coating using PCDs, then performed a full grind, diamond-cut every crack, and patched all surface imperfections to build a flawless foundation.

With the prep complete, we installed a custom metallic blend and incorporated the special effect the client requested — “cells” that create a snake-skin, cracked-lava appearance, giving the floor a dramatic 3D look. This technique adds depth, movement, and an organic feel that shifts depending on how the light hits it.

To protect this truly unique artwork, we finished the floor with a high-performance polyurethane top coat, providing maximum durability against UV exposure, hot tires, abrasion, and heavy traffic. It's built to look incredible for years to come.

The final result is a garage unlike anything we’ve created before — a glowing, fiery, lava-inspired metallic floor that transforms the space entirely. Walking across it feels like stepping onto molten rock, and the client now has the exact “one of one” masterpiece they envisioned.
