This client in Valley Cottage, New York had a Home Depot epoxy job done just months earlier — and it was already falling apart. After running into him and hearing what he was dealing with, we headed right over to assess the damage, got him booked, and got to work.
We removed the failed coating completely, grinding the surface and chasing down and patching any cracks along the way to get back to a clean, solid base. We also created a bullnose at the front of the garage where the door meets the slab, separating the outside from the inside while adding extra strength right where the floor takes the most abuse. Since the slab had no moisture issues, we made the call to go with a polyurea system — a faster-curing, more resilient option perfectly suited for a surface that just needed to be done right the first time.
He chose our Nightfall flake with a full broadcast for maximum strength, then we sealed it all in with a polyaspartic top coat to help resist the exact issue that got him in this position in the first place — delamination and peeling from hot tires and constant traffic.
